New Jurisprudence Module & Quiz

CMRITO is pleased to announce the launch of a new learning module in our Jurisprudence Course.

The CMRITO Jurisprudence Course provides applicants and registrants with the necessary background and understanding of the laws, regulations, and Standards of Practice required to practice as a medical radiation and imaging technologist.

Module 8: Patient-Centred Care sets expectations for practice, explains how the CMRITO Standards of Practice relate to patient- and family-centred care, outlines how the CMRITO Code of Ethics relates to the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and describes best practices for communicating with patients using inclusive, affirming, positive language.

To access the Jurisprudence quiz, please log in to your ePortfolio and click on “Jurisprudence” in the menu at the top of the page. Remember to record any time spent taking the Jurisprudence Course and quiz in your QA ePortfolio as part of the 25 hours of continuing education and professional development activities that you are required to complete each year.
